As usual, we'd love for you to play along. Just link your creation on the Dream It Up! blog for a chance to win the stencil of your choice...bonus chances for incorporating Dreamweaver and/or Stampendous in your design.
Here's my interpretation of April's theme that's all about wedding showers:
Moving on to the dress bodice, the same Paintstik color was applied but I moved down to a 1/4" stencil brush (GHB). The skin and hair were also colored with Paintstiks using the smallest 1/8" stencil brush (BHB). I did use my most wonderful Picasso Tool (LL332) to get into intricate areas without coloring in unwanted areas.
Once the coloring was completed, I cut out the image. I cut away the stenciled veil knowing I wanted to add a tulle veil instead. I even took an X-acto blade and cut out the arm openings at the elbows! From my stash, I created her floral bouquet from my stash of Maya Road flowers. I hot glued them to a gathered circle of tulle. Her veil was a small length of tulle folded in half and hot glued to the back of her head.
Finally, I wanted to repeat the stencil design on her skirt to the dry embossed background. The stenciled word 'love' (Live, Laugh, Love LL403) fit beautifully in the little open space. That, too, was stenciled with the Paintstik pink color and a 1/8" stencil brush. The added small pearls are from my A Muse Studio stash. The card is mounted on Core'dinations paper.
I'd love you to make a comment before moving on to the next designers's post!
