Is this week's inspiration card cute or what? I knew immediately what stamp I would use to meet this challenge. "Snowy" is my all time favorite Penny Black snowman stamp! I colored him with Peerless Watercolor including the background wash. Unfortunately, I don't have the origin of the Winter diecut. My favorite part of creating winter cards is the element of snow and that is my ultimate favorite product by Stampendous called Chunky White Deep Impression Embossing Enamel. Distress Watercolor Paper by Ranger is the card front. Glitter paper (my stash).

My first impression of Michelle W's card this week was spotlight coloring! I actually made two cards 'cuz I was on a roll and was home alone, so of course I was in my craft room happy place! My first card leans toward Thanksgiving. Simple as can be, but how I mounted it gives it an interesting border. It's definitely a CAS card. Supplies: Stamps: Fun Stampers Journey, Sentiment (Concord & 9th) Paper: Watercolor Distress Paper (Ranger), Card Base (Fun Stampers Journey) Accessories: Peerless Watercolor Sheets, Versafine Onyx Black Ink, Staz-On Stone Grey, The Misti tool My second card uses a larger stamp and covers more area. It's freeing to just add color here and there and the diagonal stripe pulls everything together! Nice and flat for mailing! Supplies:
Stamps: Poppy Gems (Penny Black), Hello (WPlus9), Dearest Friend (Concord & 9th), Peppermint Stick Background (Catherine Pooler) Paper: Watercolor Distress (Ranger) Accessories: Peerless Watercolor Sheets, Versafine Onyx Black Thanks for stopping by! xoxo LYN I love punny cards and couldn't wait to play. I have a super busy rest of the week, so my card is quick. Stamps: Go Hog Wild (A Muse Studio), Papers: Welcome Home (6x6 Carta Bella); Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; Pencils (Tombow). Turns out, I didn't do much painting, so I'll have to create more projects with them another time. Anyhoo, I Peter Sheeler'd my card design. If you're familiar with him, he has a lovely watercolor pen and wash style that always appeals to me. In the case of my card, I threw some color down first and then doodled as my second step. A little white Uniball pen and Posca white paint pen accents added. Doodling was done using a Saura Pigma Pen 05. Watercolor paper by Strathmore and is a 5x7 card size. Diecut word by W+9 Studio. I used a Quicky Glue Pen to adhere the letters. Black c/s by FSJ. Thanks for stopping by! xoxo LYN This week's Christmas card challenge. I found this scrap panel in my stash so I started from there! Simple stamping, adding some silver colored pencil and white Uniball pigment for snowy trees. Glittery snow in the sky makes this simple little card a little magical.
Supplies: Stamps and sentiment The Stamp Market. Versafine Onyx Black ink. Memento Gray Flannel ink. Quickie Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter. Thanks for stopping by! xoxo LYN |
