Besides adding 3D foam tape to embellishing the circle, the guy and the birthday horn, a little bit of jute finished the card. So, for a guy card, I think I captured a nice amount of embellishments. LOVE this sketch!!!! I used failed watercolor backgrounds for this entire card including the ferns. I diecut one of the ferns backwards to have it facing the opposite direction. Sentiment from SU Dragonfly Dreams stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. Love, love, love...
Thanks for stopping by! xoxo LYN I never know how a challenge will affect me and that's what I love about them in the creative process. Here are two challenges that I'm submitting a card to: Here's my card: I've always loved this A Muse Studio (Charming Gardeners) set and, especially, the sentiment. Watercolor paper (Strathmore) assisted in the lovely fluid coloring (Altenew) of the flowers. Images were stamped in Versafine Onxy Black ink. Thanks for stopping by! XOXO LYN Inchies intrigue me. Here's my take: I love punny stamps and this Amuse Studio Go Hog Wild Stamp & Die set is perfect for a birthday sentiment. A little Tim Holtz stencil background with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide created the background. Glitter the birthday hat and the card is good to go. Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Thanks for Stopping By! XOXO LYN I fully expected to direct my card making with Florida in mind, and because I didn't have many fall stamps here. Between making a list of challenges to respond to the other day, I found a really cool diecut tree that would work for me (unfortunately, the manufacturer isn't marked, but I think it's from Verve who is now closed)! Sentiment is from Stampendous. Cardstock FSJ. The second inspiration I had was the challenge of an inlaid die on the AAA Cards challenge site! It's supposed to be an image encompassing 1/3 of the card and this is where I may have taken up more than 1/3! I am linking this card to the following challenge sites: AAA Cards #149 The Male Room #119 Fusion Card Challenge Inspired By #89 The fun part of this card is the background behind the diecut tree. It is a failed watercolor that continues to work for other designs!!! Lesson: Don't throw away what might be ruined backgrounds or paintings! They can be re-used for some beautiful opportunities. Thanks for stopping by! xoxo LYN |
