'Wow!  Am I on a roll posting to challenge sites this week!  Today I'm here on CAS on Sunday, which is part of CAS on Friday's blog.

Partial stamping is the technique on the watercolor tag.  A little glitter on the flowers added a pretty element.  Card background is a simple random wash on watercolor paper.  I don't have many embellishments here in Florida so I decided on a funky staple design on the tag. 

I had to resist adding more to this card.  It's a good thing I don't have my supplies here that I have in New York 'cuz this card would have turned into 'not a CAS card' knowing me!  For example, I really see an embossing folder or stencil design on the entire card panel.  Or, at the minimum, a stitched border on the card panel and the tag.  See, there I go...

Ink:  Versafine Smokey Gray
Watercolor:  Koi Water Colors
Paper:  Arteza Premium Watercolor

I interpreted a one-layer card from the inspiration photo, which was my starting point.  I ended up adding two popped pieces because of my limited supplies here in my Florida house.  I'm intrigued to try this again once I'm back home in New York State later this week.

Focal image is A Muse Studio Tag You're It bear that was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black on the smooth side of Ranger Distress Watercolor cardstock.  I painted the spruce trees by hand with Distress Ink Iced Spruce smooshed onto acetate as my palette.  Bear is painted with Distress Vintage Photo smooshed onto acetate.  Santa hat is from the same A Muse set and is painted with Koi  Water Colors.  Sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and edged with Quicky Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn prisma glitter.  Santa hat and sentiment are mounted with 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives.  Snow created by splattering Chinese White from the Koi Water Color palette.

First time posting to Seize the Birthday challenge site and I'm excited to be participating!  The theme is anything goes, but they have a cute toppings optional theme of stripes.

I couldn't resist these cute ice cream images We All Scream by A Muse Studio.  Papers Dots & Stripes 6x6 paper from Echo Park.  Diecuts were colored on Canson watercolor paper and painted using Peerless Watercolor.  Quicky Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn prisma glitter added sugary sparkle.  Ink is Versafine Onyx Black.  Diecut label by Stampendous.  Doodle border hand drawn with an Artliner Pen 01 by Spectrum Noir.  3D foam squares by Scrapbook Adhesives.

I was immediately drawn to the background and that's where I began my card.

I have limited supplies here in Florida, but I think I worked with what I had pretty well.
​I diecut a WPlus9 Trellis die.  I inked it with Distress  Ripe Persimmon, Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean.
​Separately, I stamped the flamingos and palm trees and label with Versafine Onx Black.  I diecut the leaves on watercolor paper.  The stamp and die set used is Sizzix Birds of a Feather.

I water colored the flamingos and palm trees with Distress Ink smooshed onto acetate using the same Ripe Persiimmon and Mowed Lawn.  Also used smooshed Black Soot.  Quicky Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter used for accents on the wings.

My go to glue is Tombow Multi Glue.  Flamingos are raised with foam mounting tape (Scrapbook Adhesives).

I really enjoy the focus of Florida while I'm here (and not in Upstate New York!) and had lots of fun creating this card!
