Creations by AR New Release & Hop!

It's time again for another new template from Creations by AR!  Today's template is the cutest little basket and is called Goody Basket.  It goes together beautifully, of course, and is a quick and easy template to work with.

I chose Graphic 45 French Country papers and had a wonderful time creating the basket with them.  Because I had collaging going on at the top of the basket, I extended the scallop edge to give me more area to work with.
It all started with the two roosters that I fussy cut and one was a little bit larger than the other and stuck out above the original scallop edge which didn't look right from the Bon Jour side.  So, I cut another scallop overlay and glued it in between the original scallop!
Adding feet appears to be a template signature for me and true to form, this project called for little wood spools that I colored with black Copic marker.  With a heat tool, I dabbed a drop of glue on the spool and proceeded to wind jute around it.  Another tiny drop of glue was added at the end of the wrapping.
So there you have my interpretation of another fabulous Creations by AR template!  I'll keep it on a little shelf in the powder room but I also think it would make a nifty paper clip holder displayed on a desk.
Okay, off you go to the next designer's blog!
Lyn Bernatovich (That's me!)
Thanks for hopping by today!

Adding the little feet gives the basket a different 'flavour' somehow. An interesting addition to a lovely design.

Such a country feel. Different but I really like it and know a friend who has a few chickens that would totally flip over this one.
