Creations by AR New Release & Hop!

It's time for more new release templates from Creations by AR!  There are two darling templates  called Lolli-Pop and the oh-so-cute It's Bow Easy.  As usual, Adela's templates go together beautifully and these two, in particular, finish up in a snap.

I had the opportunity to work with my brand spankin' new 12x12 pad of Graphic 45 A Place in Time papers and loved all the little pieces I had to work with from the February calendar.  I actually went into my G45 stash and used a piece from Halloween in Wonderland for inside the pot and Basic Grey's Lucille collection for the pot itself.  The heart doily is from My Favorite Things and I can't stop using it on everything.

The coolest part of this project is re-purposing a lollipop to create the vertical stick!  I didn't happen to have a lollipop handy so I used a fruit skewer that I stained with Vintage Photo distress stain from Ranger that was hot glued to the base of the pot.  To add more weight to the piece, I threw some flat marbles inside the pot.  To decorate the stick, I spiraled a paper strip from the G45 papers and affixed each end to the bottom and top of the stick.  The saucer and pot are hot glued together.  The scrap of lace (Prima I think) was affixed from the inside of the pot with Scor-tape.

Rather than affix the box over the lace edge, I chose to angle it off a corner of the collage montage topper.  You must try making that bow.  There's no end to where you can add them!

Here's a view of the reverse side of the pot in case it is displayed on a desk where both sides might be visible.  It called for 'feet' so I stained four wood beads with Vintage Photo distress stain and affixed them with hot glue.

Okay, off you go to our designer's site to check out their project!

Thanks for hopping by today!
