Demo Day - Saturday, May 5th 10-12pm!

We are excited to bring you a brand new event to the Shoppe.  I will be demonstrating Ranger's Perfect Pearls!  Chances are you already own this product but perhaps don't use it to its fullest potential.  I'm going to show you six techniques that will knock your socks off.  The sample above is actually two techniques that are simply stunning on black paper.  Kathy's demo will be working with Crafter's Workshop stencils and her techniques are to die for.  Jane will be working with flowers and the many ways to creatively alter them besides just sticking them on a card.  Jen will wrap up the demo with her WOW Embossing Powders!

Plan to stay the entire two hours so you don't miss a single thing.  Demos are a great way to enhance your knowledge of products and to get the most use out of them!  This is a free event and we look forward to seeing you on the 5th!

Little Darlings Envelope Album Class

I am so excited about another Lynnie's mini book class especially because of Graphic 45's Little Darlings papers!   Here's a sneak of the finished mini and tomorrow it is headed over to the Shoppe for display.  So, if you love Graphic 45 (who doesn't?!) and have babies to scrapbook (who doesn't?!), this is the class for you!  Class is May 19th from 1-3pm $32.  Besides a Basic Kit, you will need Vintage Photo distress ink and a blending tool, tape runner and/or favorite adhesives.

To give you a better idea of the layout of the mini book, here it is with the front flap opened.

G45 Kraft Reflections Inspired Card

I've been admiring the Sizzix/Hero Stamp & Diecut Framelits set for awhile and finally had a chance to work with it along with using my fav paper company, Graphic 45 and their newest collection Kraft Reflections.  I love fussy cutting and altering and if you look closely, you'll see where I used the cutouts for a scalloped edge.  The frame was actually a clock that I cut out the center of.  There's a half circle arc piece behind the frame that was actually a teacup saucer!  The word 'Reflections' mounted on the pin was cutout from one of the paper titles!  I Distress Stained the image first in Spun Sugar, then Antique Linen and finally Vintage Photo and added ultra fine glitter to the hat plume with Quickie Glue Pen.  The seam binding is scrunched with a little mist of water.  Foam tape adds dimension to the frame and image.

Catching Up!

WOW!  Time has flown by since my last post with much going on at the Shoppe and on Paper Craft Planet!  First, here's a sampling of our Shoppe event this Saturday, April 21st called "Die-Ink to Stamp."  With so much focus on dies, matching stamps and more dies, Sherry and I thought it would be fun to host an event just to 'die' for!!!  We will be showing you all the different diecut machines and then taking you through constructing 3 cards in each session.  Session I - 9-11:30am and Session II - 12-1:30pm.  Each session is $25 or take both for $45!!!
The sample above is a design from My Favorite Things with lots of little tricks added.  We will even be making the darling little brownkraft bag!
The next sample is also from My Favorite Things that I re-designed as a wall hanging.  Here we'll learn how to create larger blooms just by adding a second diecut strip.  The two-toned flower is yet another trick I'll be showing you.
Finally, the third card is a design by Cat's Pajamas that I tweaked a little.  There are some darling flower rosettes that will be fun to work with.  This is definitely not a flat card!
As you can see, my card segment is chocked full of design ideas with diecuts!  You will want to take both sessions as Sherry's cards are totally different.  See you on Saturday!
