Creations by AR - August Release & Hop!

Welcome to Creations by AR August Release and Hop!  This month's template is sooooo much fun and I began with a Halloween theme of the Old McCard template.  I loved the barn shape along with the 3d element of the card and I couldn't resist using the G45 Halloween in Wonderland papers and tucking the Wicked Witch of the West inside the pocket!  Punched bats from Martha Stewart add a little erie spookiness!
Here's an inside view of the card where I decorated both sides for visual interest.

Next, I had so much fun with the Old McBarn template!  It screamed Christmas and the holidays to me and the Authentique Festive papers were a perfect choice.  The papers have a really heavy weight to them and work beautifully with 3d designs and templates.  The bird is a stamp from Memory Box that I cut up and paper pieced.  It's affixed with a double layer of 3d foam tape.  Since I used the PDF file for Adela's template and didn't want to cut out the window by hand, I created the window panes using a tiny square punch that I cut in half diagonally!

Here's another view from the left corner where more of the trees are visible.  The trees are a combination of a Sizzix die and a punch.  'Good Will to All' from Hero Arts is mounted on a Ranger Vintage Photo Distress stained toothpick.

The picket fence and scallop edge are punches from Martha Stewart.  The sweet little family peeking through the doorway is clipart from Tuscan Rose CD images.  The 'feet' are clear flat marbles affixed with a heat tool.  I see this holiday barn filled with Christmas candy treats!
Want to win one of these new templates?  Each of the Designers will be giving away one of the new release templates!  One random winner will be chosen from each Design Team Members Blog, so you'll have plenty of chances to win!  To participate and be eligible to win, simply leave a comment on this post, by Friday, August 24th, then check back on Saturday, August 25th, to see if you've won!
So, off you go to the next designer and happy hopping!
