Whatever would I do without the influence of Jenni Bowlin in my life?!?  She has inspired me in so many ways!  I began this class project with her papers that are text weight but work well with the giant coin envelope Accucut die.  Folded in half, we now have a darling little mini book.  Since the class is January 30th, the obvious theme is Valentine's Day, but I'm stretching it to be lots of endearing thoughts and precious moments.  With the cover alone I literally covered a Hero Arts image and used a portion of a Memory Box image for the adore word.  The 3d fan in the lower left corner is a Pottery Barn lifted idea.  So, if you like the cover, just think what the inner pages might contain!  The class is two hours, but there's sure to be three hours worth of work in this project!  Class Details:  1/30/11, 1-3 pm, $24

If you love to read, if you love altering books, if you love keeping journals, AND if you love tea, this is the CLUB for you! Inspired by the new American Crafts classics paper line, we have developed a one-of-a-kind book club designed to appeal to anyone who has a desire to read the classics, loves altering books, mini books, journals, and creating individual pages. Our journey will be inspired by whatever book we are reading that month. Here are the details: Each month we will have a book assignment to read. You can take it out at the library, listen to a book on tape, and as a last resort, watch a movie. Bring a basic kit to club and a favorite cup for some delicious tea and scones from Tealightful Treasures!

First book assignment: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott due Feb. 13th.  Our first meeting will encompass creating the two pages shown here, starting our covers to hold 12 months of pages, and to discuss the next book to read out of a list of 24 choices!
